The Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AIMED) has set a bold target to triple India's exports of medical devices to #Russia within the next five years through collaborative efforts between the two countries. This move comes after a recent online meeting between representatives from #India and Russia, where discussions centered on manufacturing and marketing life-saving medical equipment and devices. AiMeD emphasized in a statement the significance of dynamic and diverse #economic interaction between Russia and India, motivated by common interests and a dedication to fortifying bilateral cooperation. Along with important Russian investors, more than 70 Indian #manufacturers and #exporters participated in the online event. According to AiMeD data, India's medical equipment exports to Russia for the fiscal year 2022–2023 total Rs 625.68 crore, or almost $75 million. However, according to Rajiv Nath, forum organiser at AiMeD, this amount might increase to Rs 2,000 crore (about $239 million) over the next five years with coordinated tactics and quicker regulatory approvals. Russia, while not a top-five importer of Indian medical devices, is a key export market in the ☑️ Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) notes that 60% of India's medical device exports to the CIS go to Russia. To capitalize on this #opportunity, the Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AiMeD) and the Centre for the Development of Russia-India Strategic Partnership (DRISP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last year, aiming to accelerate manufacturing, marketing, and #partnerships in medical devices between India and Russia, boosting competitiveness and market engagement. Gruner Renewable Energy, a leader in India's renewable energy sector, has announced the successful acquisition of multiple contracts totalling ₹1500 crores for the development of Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plants. This milestone achievement comes within the company's first operational year, marking a significant stride towards enhancing India's sustainable energy infrastructure. Gruner Renewable Energy has been awarded 11 projects valued at ₹1100 crores from one of India’s leading business conglomerates, alongside 19 other projects from various industry leaders, cumulatively worth ₹400 crores. These projects are set to bolster the national production of compressed biogas with an annual output exceeding 88,000 tons. The CBG plants will be strategically distributed across multiple Indian cities including Ayodhya, Satna, Balasore, Navsari, Yavatmal, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry, enhancing regional access to renewable energy resources and contributing to local economies. Utkarsh Gupta (Greenpreneur), Founder & CEO of Gruner Renewable Energy, commented on the expansion, “Our commitment to supporting India’s transition to a sustainable energy future is demonstrated through these projects.
